Sick

Sick sick sick. Last 2 days. Fever, cough, blah. I've been in bed. Back at work this afternoon and feel like shit. Still planning on surgery for Thursday. At this point, I just want to lie down. That's all there is for now. no exercise no diet. Just trying to survive. Today I had chicken noodle soup 1cup and gold fish crackers. Right now I'm drinking a coke. Yes a real one. I can't eat so I need some sugar as I'm feeling weak. Just trying to get through the next 2 hours so I can go home and back to my bed. No fever right now, but chills. thank goodness for comfortable sweatshirts.

I've been reading most of your blogs and keeping tabs on you. Keep up the good fight for me while I'm down. BTW, my BFF and I have decided on our first real 5K race for Nov 14th. It's in my home town and benefits our high school's pta. So, I'll be doing it whether I can run or not. This will fulfill 2 things. One of my goals for the hot 100 and a challenge from another blogger to do a 5k on Nov 14th with her. I honestly can't remember right now who it was, but I think she's doing one for her brother who was sick or something. I'm sorry I'm too sick to get my facts straight. But, I'm looking forward to training as soon as I can. Take care all.  Eat right and move!  I mean it.

  1. What a bummer! Take care so that you're ready for surgery on Thursday. Remember you promised to "kick my butt" in the Hot 100 Challenge. I'm going to hold you to it--or at least to try. I'm sure thinking of you, as you get through all this medical stuff.

  2. I pretty much eat the same thing when I'm sick -coke, port wine cheese & pretzels, and yes, I'll buy some goldfish crackers.

Hope you're feeling better before the surgery...

  5. I hope this comment finds you feeling better doc.

In terms of the 5k, i believe it was a tribute to a blogger's father who went through a nasty illness...i also pledged to do a 5K that day too, so here's hoping we're both up to running at least some of it by Nov 14th.

  13. If it'll cheer you up, I'll congratulate you on the awesome play of Mr. Sam Bradford. So, he lit up the hometown Seahawks, while McNabb defeated my Eagles. Thank goodness UW upset USC!!!
