Pre-Surgery Binge. That's right. Binge. Gotta Problem with that???

Tomorrow's the big day for this old girl to get an organ removed. I confess, I had a binge of a day. Within reason, of course. I figure, should something happen to me in surgery tomorrow, I'll be damned if my last meal is salad. So for breakfast today, I had a breakfast sandwich from Whataburger. That's right. Freakin fast food people. It's been oh....4-5 months since I had any. Then proceeded to throw it up. Soooo, I guess I don't count those calories?

Lunch was Ramen noodles. Did you know there is 400 calories? That's 400 CALORIES in one package?  I didn't. When I think of all those I ate in college. Sweet lord, no wonder I was fat.  But, it's soup and tasted good and I didn't puke. All a plus. I drank sprite twice and part of a pepsi. I am currently taking steroids and it makes water taste like nasty metallic goop.

For dinner I ate a frozen pot pie. Marie Calendar's Chicken pot pie. Guess how many calories.  no really. Guess.  1000. You read it right. I just ate A THOUSAND calories. It tasted so good. But I'm having a lot of pain now and there's a good chance I might puke. I don't know whether to be happy or not. I have planned a cookie for dessert with cold milk either way.

Mind you this is not a diet plan I would EVER recommend and will likely never eat again barring the unlikely event that I have to have some other organ removed in which case, all bets are off. After surgery tomorrow I'm back on track and I plan back to the gym and exercise asap. I have a 5K to train for and a Hot 100 challenge and I am competitive so here I come. I may be a week or so behind, but I catch up fast. Plus, I am already visualizing myself buying size 12 jeans. HA HA HA HA!  It's funny to even think about. But, January is a long time and it is actually quite realistic considering I just bought size 14 last week and I'm up a few pounds from where I was.

So all ya'll Hoties out there better watch it. I'm coming for YOU and you'll need that head start suckers. All this is said in fun of course. But, seriously, I'm gonna kick your asses!

I'll try to post tomorrow and let you know all goes well. How about a pic of my stones for fun?  Hee hee. Assuming of course that my drug induced stupor allows me to wake up enough to post. And now, I'm going to have my cookie. This is in no way endorsing the consumption of said foods. Please don't do it, unless of course you're getting an organ removed tomorrow in which case, eat up.

By the way, thanks for all the well wishes and words of support!  They are appreciated!
Night all!

  4. Don't forget to weigh yourself before and after said organ removal!

Calories are the least of your worries if you're consuming Ramen. MSG is some scary (and delicious) stuff.

I can't believe you ate a frozen pot pie. Don't your teeth hurt? You really shoulda cooked it first.

Only one cookie? Only one? You can't call it a binge just because you automatically purge afterwards. If the purge isn't intentional it doesn't count.

(good luck tomorrw, I'll be doing some non-religious positive thinking about you)

  5. I always liked eating something sweet (like a cookie or a piece of chocolate) if I thought I was going to throw up - might as well have it taste good, right? ;)

    Good luck tomorrow!

  10. Is there any stopping the Doc?

You are one unbreakable lady. I have no doubt that you'll have to be physically restrained from doing too much too soon after the Op.

Hope all goes smooth, and once you are off the meds water tastes like the amber nectar.

  12. That is the worst binge I've ever heard of! Well, the breakfast sandwich WOULD have counted if you hadn't puked it up. Splurge to me would be 1/2 a cheesecake or something. :-)

  13. Wow, that's a pretty gnarly binge there lady! Those pot pies are the stuff of dreams. Ultimate comfort food (unless, of course, you barf it up!).

  16. Best of luck, Doc.

Although, If I am going to eat a 1000 calorie food item it's not going to be Marie Calendar's Chicken pot pie. I think I'd got for the bacon cheeseburger at 5 Guys.

  19. Good luck with the surgery, Hubs had his Gallbladder removed in March and he was a super baby about it, could be because he's a boy, and boys are babies.

  20. I will be thinking of you:) And how weird a coincidence that my doctor's office just called to reschedule my (and my husband's) appointments because she is having surgery! So is it polite or rude to ask her how she is when I go in?
