Woke up this morning with a terrible headache. Then my youngest was crying with an earache. Gave her a tylenol. I overslept so no workout today. Running late and forgot to weigh. I don't think I drank enough water over the weekend. I'm very tired today. I forgot my coffee so I stopped by Starbuck's. Been about 6months since I had that. Used my birthday gift certificate. It was good, but I will not spend those calories often, even though I get the skinny latte.
Anyhoo....took the girls to school and boy to school. He's sick with cough and I think sinus infection. Sigh. Got a call a little while ago that baby girl was in the office crying with her ear. Nanny picked her up and now I have to go home to look at her at lunch. I hate it when my kids are sick.
I forgot to blog twice yesterday. Oopsy. We saw The Grey and it was good, kinda depressing but good. We got home late in the afternoon after a trip to Costco. I love that place, but it wears me out. I was tired so we spent some time watching TiVo. Watched the Walking Dead and I love that show. Hubby hadn't seen any of them yet. Had breakfast for dinner with eggs and tomato slices. Pancakes for the kiddos. They thought it was hilarious. I didn't watch the ProBowl because it is frankly a sorry excuse for football. Went to bed, but didn't sleep well. Likely contributed to my headache this morning.
Plans for the week all depend on the kids and if they are sick or not. Middle girl has a TKD test on Saturday. She's pumped because she'll get her purple belt and then be in my class. She also wants her staff. And yes...they make them that little.
Wish I could be more upbeat, but that's all I got today. Hope your Monday is going OK. I just hope to survive mine. I'll weigh in tomorrow. I think I did well. I'm expecting a loss. Sorry for my Monday Mood. I'll be reading and catching up. I didn't have time to read much this weekend. Have a good one. More later.....
you are doing so great on your diet, doc. And to share an interest in Taekwondo with your kids...that is cool. So you mention "your class" do you teach or are you a level up from purple-green?
ReplyDeleteNo I don't teach. She is a belt behind me, a blue belt. Next rank is purple, same as my rank now, and that's in an advanced class. We'll be the same rank soon and she's very excited about that.
DeleteStarbucks, Costco, The Grey....
ReplyDeletesounds like my perfect day!
Monday, Monday...can't trust that day.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that your fun and wonderful weekend came crashing back to reality so hard! I hope that things are getting better as the day goes on.
ReplyDeleteSorry you and the kids aren't feeling well. You're a busy lady, so catch some downtime when you can.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to a rough Monday.... hoping your day gets sweeter and that you get a good nights sleep tonight...
ReplyDeleteHope the kids all get better. That is had when they are sick.
ReplyDeleteI love having breakfast for dinner, my Mom used to do that for us when she was making Liver, she cooked the bacon and we got to have eggs...(glad we never had to eat the liver....yuck)!! Hang in there, smile and just think that Tuesday is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteMO-tivated
Yummy....liver is good when cooked right with lots of onion.
DeleteMondays are ugly. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteMy Starbucks pick is just a black coffee. If I'm feeling crazy I'll doctor it up with some Splenda, nonfat milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg... but usually I'm too lazy to bother and I just suck it down plain.
I heart caffeine.
Me too. I heart caffeine.
DeleteNot getting my work out in really poops on my energy and mood all day. I hope you can get your sleep tonight and face tomorrow fresh-faced and ready to go.
ReplyDeleteThat is a Monday mood and for good reason too! It's a bummer when our schedule gets off to a bad start like that. Having sick kids is never fun, thank goodness you have your nanny to help out.
ReplyDeleteMy family loves to have breakfast food for dinner and it is one of my go to quick and easy meals when the schedule won't allow for cooking up a full on meal with side dishes.
Hope everyone bounces back quickly and your week goes smoothly.
My nine year old REALLY got into football this year. He is all over it. Got a fantasy team on a web site for kids. Just totally into it. So for weeks he watched which Seahawks would get into the Pro Bowl. "Dad, if SF makes the Super Bowl, Marshawn Lynch will get in because Frank Gore can't play." That kind of thing. So he watched and called me in every time they did a surprise on-side kick (twice!), or a pass by the punter (!), or - get this - when Drew Brees attempted a drop-kick for the extra point (he missed). I'd like to tell him that the Pro Bowl isn't real, but it's like not telling kids about Santa Claus. He'll figure it out for himself soon enough.
ReplyDeleteOh Alan, that's hilarious. I had to explain to my 14 year old why i didn't care much about the Pro Bowl. He was like "Well if it doesn't matter and no one tries any way WHY do they even have it." Good question, my boy. I did see the highlights including the Drew Brees drop kick and the punter pass. Goofy stuff, but fun I suppose. Now I'm trying to focus on NBA as football fades for another year.
